WARTAMU.ID, Jakarta, 05 November 2024 – PT Zurich General Takaful Indonesia (Zurich Syariah) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership (PP). Through this strategic collaboration, Zurich Syariah and PP Muhammadiyah are committed to strengthening community social empowerment programs, developing sharia economic and financial education, and providing health insurance for the Muhammadiyah community throughout Indonesia.
President Director of PT Zurich General Takaful Indonesia, Hilman Simanjuntak, said, “This collaboration is an important step in supporting the development of the sharia economy and community welfare. We are confident that collaboration with PP Muhammadiyah will provide sustainable benefits for many parties, especially in improving the quality of financial education and access to health protection.”
As a support commitment, Zurich Syariah contributed funds of Rp 1 billion rupiah to support collaborative programs designed together with PP Muhammadiyah. These funds will be allocated for education and community economic empowerment, especially in the field of sharia finance, in order to create a more independent and economically prosperous society.
The General Treasurer of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership, Hilman Lathief, also welcomed the collaboration by saying, “We welcome the collaboration with Zurich Syariah as a real step in supporting community empowerment and sharia economic education. This collaboration not only strengthens Muhammadiyah’s role in improving sharia financial literacy but also provides access to health protection for the wider community.”
